Mrs Christiane BOKPE ADOVELANDE is a Corporate Lawyer by profession. She is Beninese, mother of 4 children, living currently in Beijing, China since 2016 as her husband was posted as Benin Ambassador to China.

She is the Founder of SDAA (Asia Africa Solidarity for Development), an NGO in the field of Mother and Infant Protection, Professional Training for Young people who dropped out from school and Assistant to Rural Women. She is currently a Freelance Consultant in Gender, Peace and Security and Women Leadership.

Christiane ADOVELANDE holds a Master Degree in Business Law from the University of Benin, Lome, Togo, a Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Management for Developing Countries, from the University of Dresden in Germany and a Masters Degree in Gender, Peace and Security, obtained at Kofi Annan Peacekeeping International Training Center, KAIPTC/Accra, Ghana.

From 2001 to 2012, she served in ETISALAT Benin S.A as HR Manager and Director of Administration and Human Resources. Prior to that Telecommunication Company, she worked for the first ten years of her career as Administrative Manager of Development Projects, notably within GIZ Benin (German Technical Cooperation). Within this Institution, Christiane AOVELANDE served as Head of Finance and Administration from 1992 to 2001 where she gained solid experience in Administration and Financial Management.

She is passionate of the cause of women and organizer of many conferences and activities related to Women and Sustainable Development. She currently the President of the Group of African Ambassadors Spouses in Beijing (GAAS Beijing) CHINA.
